6 leaders and 9 boys from So. Missouri District on "Travel New Territories" Trip

Left July 23rd for White River AZ

Arrived July 24th White River AZ. Met up with Rev. Robert Jimenez. He took us out to our dorms inside the historic Fort Apache. Very interesting but nothing like the John Wayne movie. After supper we spent some time on Prayer Mountain hearing from Bro. Jimenez how God is moving among the Apache people.

July 25th, Great morning services! Went fishing after lunch. Got skunked but enjoyed the scenery. Did a Ranger meeting that night for the boys and leaders. 3 boys answered God's call and prayed for salvation.

July 26th. Started the projects. Painted the dorms of the Bible School, guttered, built bicycles, painted a home for a family that is tettering on the edge of the church family, passed out Book of Lifes.

July 27th Continued projects. Had Apache tacos for lunch... You must try these! That afternoon we headed for the Grand Canyon. Camped in the National Forest near the rim.

July 28th Hiked the Grand Canyon. 4 mile on the rim and 3 miles down and back up. We were of course wearing our Ranger t-shirts so by the end of the day everyone from top to bottom knew who we were, what we stood for and why we were there. Left that night and camped in a church on the Navaho Indian Reservation in East AZ.

July 29th Went through 4-Corners, Durango, Wolf Creek Pass. Shopped for souveniers on the way. Camped near the Royal Gorge.

July 30th Spent the morning white-water rafting on the Arkansas River through the Royal Gorge. It was a great trip! We lost two boys over the side at one point. It was tense for a few seconds but God kept them near the raft and it served for a great memorable moment. You ought to have seen the looks on their faces! That afternoon we saw the Royal Gorge Bridge and then headed for CO. Springs. Did the US Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, went out to eat and stayed in a Hotel. Boy, that bed felt GREAT!

July 31st - headed home, stopping at Dodge City on the way. Enjoyed scenic Kansas!

August 1st - 1:00a.m. Arrive Spfd MO

Thanks for your prayers!
