I just wanted to give a small praise report.
Like many churches ours held VBS this summer. So the commanders got the idea
of taking the Pioneers in uniform to go do some visiting door to door with
the contacts made. Well for my husbands group only 2 families were home and
they got a chance to speak for a while with the dad.
This week we had a new Straight Arrow Nathan (Nate) Westbrook and he told me
that a bunch of RR from our church came to his door and spoke with his dad.
I went outside to speak with his mom when she came to pick up Nate and his
sister. She asked for a form to order uniform and books, how much dues were
and we are filling out emergency med releases, etc next week.
I know he's only one but he is one that Jesus wants (along with his sister
she was in Missionettes) and that the other boys know that they have had a
hand in bringing into God's house.
I am going to be in prayer as his mom and dad won't be attending (my first
boy like this all my others have families that are very active in the
church).
I am hoping that the Pioneers will go out again to the houses where no one
answered. May we'll get one more.
Also any ideas for recruiting at school? We are active in PTA and were
thinking it might be a good tool for RR recruitment. They recognize BSA.
Sorry so long but I am happy about even one little boy.
