I read the original message some weeks ago and checked out the web site.
Maybe I'm being double bluffed but it all seems a little too obvious to me.
There are enough christians in the US to form a profitable market of people
who simply refused to have anything like this done. Logic (wisdom?) dictates
that it is not likely to happen amongst an aware population in a democracy.
My belief that it will be something more subtle or there are some political
upheavals in the pipeline which have not yet occurred.
There was an article in the British press a few months ago which criticised
American foreign policy for concentrating far too much on the Russians. The
biggest political threat to the West ATM is China. Have a look at how many
goods have "Made in China" on them. Most of the baseball caps I saw in the
US had. A lot of the world's money is pouring into China's coffers and don't
believe that technology will save the West. A lot of the brightest minds in
electronics are in the far East. One UK PC "manufacturer" now even has the
units assembled in China. However, my (second hand) understanding of
eschatology is that none of us will be here when the mark of the beast takes
effect.
