All,
A few weeks ago I posted a report about the Royal Ranger Day we had at our
church on RR Weekend. We had several boys show up from the neighborhood
(which was our intention in having the event in the first place). They
couldn't resist the flint n' steel demo, hawk and knife throwing, and
assorted games and treats we were offering.
This past Wednesday night I accepted the filled out charters and med forms of
Max, Brandon, and Leonard........two Pioneers and a Trailblazer. All three
are neighborhood boys.
We now have 21 Pioneers, 11 Trailblazers, 12 Buckaroos, 6 Straight Arrows,
and 4 Challengers.
Got a new leader in Pioneers and one more on the way.
Folks, just put the Ministry/Program in the public eye. We don't have time to
wait for the families in the church to have enough boys to stock the outpost.
I know God's heart is missions. If we trust Him, make His plans our plans,
he'll send the boys.
And, for those who worry about a flood of numbers......He knows how to run an
outpost......He'll raise up the leaders, also.
Now, we can worry and fret and think like "mere men", or we can live in the
eternal kingdom where the thoughts and worries of "mere men" are foolishness
to God and watch Him move as we minister in apostolic power.
I haven't got time to fret about what going's to come down from Springfield
or what, (dare I say the horrible word?), CHANGES may be in store.
Legend says that while Nero fiddled, Rome burned.
While we fiddle around, boys burn.
Let's go to our knees and seek His face. Ask him for ways to present the
Ranger Adventure to your church, your community, your neighborhood.
Can't, Won't, and Coulda Woulda Shoulda are NOT options.
BTW......those boys?.......Max came to a meeting, got excited, and HE invited
Brandon.
All Glory and Honor to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
