Dear Cmdr. Pier:
I would imagine bothb methods would work. I have never tried mixing sawdust into
the wax prehaps, mixing it would make the sawdust more dense and take longer to
burn up. Match Lite seems to be a brick of wax with a high concentration of
sawdust. I dare say that I have seen this sinful item at FCF events but don't
tell anybody. I the book
Buckskinning II by Muzzleloader Magazine, Warren "Hawk" boughton suggests
somewhere on page 156 that carying a cancle with you in your pack is a highly
useful thing. Right now my imagination is driving me crazy of the varios things
it can be used for other than firestarting. pouring wax over burnables in a egg
carton is a great idea I have tried it myself. Try making these firestarters and
giving them as gifts to your Ranger boys.
I see you have stirred a strong response to this topic and not much criticizm,
that is good. I like good positive responses to things like this.
