Kelvin Pier tosses in his two cents:

I like the polo shirts, AKA golf shirt. I wear it "out" and I wear it to
church. Regarding the uniform, our boys did not want to wear the uniform
either ... until we went to the Penn-Del District, Western Division Fall
Camporee last year. We were put in a cabin Dan Varner from Outpost 332. His
boys were completely decked out in their khaki finest. Some had earned
merits and a few of the Pioneer advancements. He put them in formation and
conducted a uniform inspection. Our boys said hey, why don't we have
uniforms? Needless to say, out boys were inspired. We got them uniforms and
about half wear them to the weekly meetings; however, for pow-wows and
special Ranger events, like the recently concluded Ranger Appreciation Day at
our church, the boys all have a uniform. We live in an urban area (20
minutes East of Pittsburgh, PA) and wearing uniforms is not cool to some of
the boys. We let them bring the uniform and put it on at the church before
the meeting, so far we haven't had any takers.

Hang in there about the uniforms. God smiled on us that cool autumn day last
year to inspire the boys to get "dressed."
