Dear Mr. Johnson:
I like the wisdom in your post. The way I see it is along the same lines I
would like to add my two cents. I don't think there will be a big issue over
Y2K but I should be prepared just in case. To say that God will prevent this
from happening; there are many things God will allow to happen for his own
divine purpose. The Bible does say that God will not allow us to be tempted
beyond what we are capable of overcoming. He did not prevent the A-bomb and
decades of living in fear of nuclear annihilation which could have happened in
a instant. He did not stop the San Francisco Earthquake. Unless I am already
damned and too hard to know it9which I know I'm notr evidence of the Holy
Spirit in my life) Christians are still here alive and well and we are growing
in numbers. To say God will prevent certain things from happening or Jesus will
take us up into the clouds before certain things will happen, we are setting
ourselves up for a disappointment. I believe that Jesus will come as He said He
will before, things get too tough because, He said He will and he will come in
less than an instant, as it says in scripture. When? I do not know but I will
go.
I have no intentions of flaming anybody but I felt as if I needed to get off my
lurking perch and speak. With some of the wisdom of our Ranger leaders boys are
being saved and dedicated to serving Christ. The Spirit moves in this
organization.
