Hello All,
I was listening on the news the other night and they said that the
Salvation Army was having difficulties getting the bell ringers to stand in
front of stores so people could pitch their extra change in the red kettle.
They now had to pay people to ring the bell because of a shortage of
volunteers. This puts their goal of raising a million dollars at risk. I
think that this is sad and unfortunate. I have always liked their thrift
shops and some of the services that they provide like their family locater
service. I admire the work that they do. I'm sharing this because the bell
ringers is almost always a part of the Christmas season here. I just wanted
to ask that we pray for the Salvation Army. My Pastor makes it a point to
pray for all the Christian churches in our area and they are our neighbors
too. Please let us not forget the less fortunate this season. Between the
Salvation Army and the US Marines, they both do a lot of work in my community
with the "Toys for Tots" program and keeping our roads clean please remember
to keep them in prayer

Blessings,

Iron Mike
