All and John,
I just got finshed reading Jude.
No where did I see mentioned a Christmas tree.
Jude 1:12 says "These men are blemishes at your love feasts,
eating with you without the slightest qualm-shepherds who feed
only themselfs. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind;
autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted - twice dead."
If this is verse she is useing, John, it is very much out of context.
There was a church back in Paul's time that looked up the verses to
see if they were correct. The Lord also told us to test the spirits.
John, I'd like to encourage you to look the scriptures up. Write them
down if needed, and above all test the spirits.
It's easy for us to take a Christain Brothers or Sisters word.
"But they have been a Christan for years." Is that a good enough
reason not to test the spirits? I know of a brother that started a church
war.
Reason no one said hello to him, on some Wednesday night.
Just my 2 cents.
