I also read that 133 years ago the Sioux defeated one of our military units because it was like daylight and the soldiers were easy to spot.

This Christmas presents an excellent opportunity to make a great memory with
your family.December 22, 1999, will be the brightest first night of winter (for those of
us in the Northern Hemisphere) in 133 years because three things are all
going to happen on December 21 and 22 that will make this final full moon of
the 1900's a night to remember.Three things, which have not occurred together since 1866.
1. December 21 is the Winter Solstice, the first day of winter,
(precisely at 11:44 p.m. PST.2. A full moon or "Yule" Moon occurring on the Winter Solstice, An event
that happens only once every 19 years.3. On December 22, the moon will be closer to earth (perigee) than at any
time during the entire year, which means that this full moon will appear
14% larger.Plus, because December's full moon rides higher across the sky than any
other, it will shed its light over a much greater area and because our earth
is closer to the sun at the winter solstice than in summer, the sunlight
which strikes the moon will be 7% stronger. Some things to consider besides how gorgeous the night is:
Neither the Earth nor the moon have any light of their own. Were it not for
the glorious light of the sun we would be in darkness. At night, the moon shines with the reflected light of the sun. Only when
the moon is full (totally focused on the sun) can we see the greatest glory
of the sun. Even though we can no longer see the sun, we know it is still
there because of what we see in the moon. And it is when the moon is
closest to the darkness of the earth, that it seems to shine the brightest.Makes you wonder, if I were the moon, and God were the sun, would anybody
know what a full moon looked like?Let your light so shine among men that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matt. 5:16 KJVMerry Christmas & God Bless You All
