In like manner, this day then, symbolically is really the first day of the new millennium.... as the calendar was based on Jesus presumed birth date. (Ok, you learn-ed folks have your minds' gears a spinning....so... regardless of the fact that the real millennium is actually next year, and these days, Jesus was actually believed to have been born a few years from the actual date they started the calendar)... the point is... symbolically, this day should be special to our hearts, our souls, our eternity. Take a moment today with your families and reflect on the events of the past 2000 years since the birth of Christ.... whether you believe in him as a personal savior as I do (and as I believe you SHOULD), or if you believe him a merely good person, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that Jesus had a profound effect on humanity, and this day represents a celebration of that fact. It is the beginning of eternity for those who believe, and even for those who don't.
