Jesus must have felt the same way when he prefaced his words with :
"He that has ears listen.." He must have wondered if what he was
saying had any impact on anyone in anyway... *In that way he is
exactly like a lot of Ranger Commanders <G> except... He didn't
get mad...quit..retire..cycle out to the OP council.. get promoted
to Dist. and give up<G>

Jesus just explained things by use of the "reflective question" and then
a word picture.

Where we seem to trip up is in thinking we are social mechanics with a tool box
to torque wrench behavior and compliance<G>

I'm very guilty of feeling frustrated by the wall of ignorance that prevents open
communication.
I feel however that just as a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step...
*Rangernet
should be open to conversation.

This is in fact... what we do best<G> We have the time.. the technology <G>

The content of the conversation is the responsibility of the PATROL... *of which
we
are all members<G> *So sometimes I think, like you RANGERNET is the tent
conversations
that we hear among the boys just before barking "Lights out! KNOCK IT OFF!"

On first alert we sometimes *REACT with our opinion on the spot.. words fly that
spread emotion and that causes more REACTION... *true a hot issue is sometimes
fun
but the deeper quest is to understand... and apply our growing skills to council
the
Ranger as taught in section two (2) of the Leadership Training... COUNCILOR

YES!YES!

Now more than anytime in Ranger HISTORY do we need to be *ALERT to our program
as it undergoes changes... and post CLEAN topics well thought out and on
target...

We should be HONEST in our shortcomings as well as our reasoning, and COURAGEOUS
to speak
out when needed. We do that because we care about our ministry and are LOYAL to
it.

Our words must be COURTEOUS and we should welcome all to the Cybercampfire and
encourage those
that lurk to post. We are OBEDIENT to authority and the word of God, and
SPIRITUAL in tone.

*No Sweat!

...good post!
