I was at a FCF Trace and we held a "Buckskin tribunal" for candidates... Into the firelight walked a Man... "Waht do you have to say fer yurself pilgrim... tell us about yur Outfit.." barked the Chapter president.. The Frontiesman starred back into the smoke... and spoke... "*Well.. not much.. 'sept God bless my wife.. she's mighty fine.. This here capote.. *she made it by follow'n the pattern, and it's so fine.. and my shirt well she sewed it by hand and put bone buttons on it.. My Buckskins.. *I didn't have the courage to cut a $100 skin..till my wife just hauled off and figured it out.. yep MY Wife...she made....er.. (From the Wilderness patrol a voice:) "Yea... mayby SHE SHOULD BE HERE ADVANCE'N! 'stead er YOU!"                                  ---***+***--- BTW! -=A=-'s Outfit was his do'n and is So...fine it causes young Buckaroo's in Cdr.Jens Outpost to..... "dream of Santa"<G>  (might be too many hawk bells and red wooly in it!) Cdr.Jen.. *remember walk'n into Camp Meriweather... then leaveing thru a escort of singing summer camp Rangers? How about getting the windshield washed at the end of camp pioneer?<G> How about the Camp accordian player from Nevada..or John Holtz and his "harp-log" <G>..and Dutch oven stew on a cold nite  at Butte Creek with the "wrangler"...   ...and too our Memories.. to our hearts will always be..Royal Ranger's sure to shine.. all of the time!       Cdr-Jen wrote: I would like to respond to the post regarding the concern of women in Scouting. In our district and troop, there has never been ANY hint of discrimination towards me or any of the other women leaders and adults. Many of the camps have facilities for women and men. Men and women are treated as adult leaders and are welcomed at any camp to assist. Most of the camping events are run by the boys leaders of the Senior Patrol Staff. Adult leaders are there to assist when asked, and those of us who are Merit Counselors assist boys in earning required merits. The boys have had women leaders since they were Cub Scouts, (Den Mothers), and are accustomed to having women at events, ceremonies and overnight campouts. I was even told last evening that there are women who are nominated into the Order of the Arrow, which is comparable to FCF. Rangers too, in the US, is progressing. There are several women who are now on the National Standing Committee for SA and Buckaroos. Remember that God appoints leaders.
