Supreme Court to Hear NJ Gay Rights Case
> January 14, 2000 - In the matter of a New Jersey State Supreme Court
decision last year,
> The U.S. Supreme Court said it would hear an appeal by the Boys Scouts
of America defending its ban on gays as Scout leaders. Make no mistake
about it, this is a very important decision for the Boy Scouts of
America and the millions of Scouts and scouters in the BSA. This
decision, when made, will effect how we, as an organization who believe
in certain values and ideals will be allowed to operate in the future.
No matter what "side of the fence" you are on regarding this subject,
the Supreme Courts decision will have an impact on the way you "do"
Scouting. The decision could change Scouting as we know it today.

Please be in prayer for the BSA. The ruling on this case has
far-reaching implications, not just for the BSA, but for all
organizations dedicated to instilling godly principles in the children
and youth of today.
