Dear Randy:
I always find it strange addressing somebody with the same first name as me.

I am concerned over this Supreme Court ruling over gays in Boy Scouts
affecting Royal Rangers perhaps your more legally oriented than I am but I
would think that we couldn't be touched on this issue because we are
specifically a Christian organization. Our Bylaws are founded on the
principals of Gods Holy Word which condemns any sinful act including adultery
which covers two same sex individuals cohabiting with each other for sexual
reasons. The Bible also says that such people should not hold an office in
the church I believe this could also be interpreted as a children's ministry
position as well which technically is a Royal Ranger Commander.
I am not suggesting that we not witness homosexuals and not allow them to set
foot in our churches as Jesus told us we should spread the Word to all
sinners like we once were but not get overwhelmed into their acts of sin. I
would welcome a homosexual as a guest at a church service and would continue
to welcome one unless they came as a couple dressed as a transvestite, etc.
If they were to make their homosexual statements in the church they should be
asked to turn from their ways or to kindly leave our fellowship. In this case
their would be little indication of repentance. Even then I wouldn't care to
make that call but may God save their souls. I think we are safe to not allow
homosexual Commanders.
If we can't discriminate against somebody that performs homosexual acts,
pornography, pedophiles and such, how can the Atheists and Humanists outlaw
prayer and bible reading in the public schools?
