Dear Noel
Let me respond to these pointsfrom the Australian perspective, we have had
girls in Rangers since it started.
> I'd have to be against it.
> I think it comes down to the simple fact you're asking for

And they can be avoided.
> 1.What happens if a girl needs first aid in a certian area
> and there are no female leaders around. what do you do?
The women leadesr look after all first aid for girls.
> 2. IF we co-ed you COULD have problems with young men lusting
> after the grils. Esp.in the older groups. Do we really want this?
> I think not.
Each group is kept seperate ie, Pioneer girls - Pioneer Boys, Traliblazer
boys - Trailblazer girls. On camps the girls have their own camp area and
any boy caught in there is servely punished. If the children and parents are
given good teaching on relationships this will not be a problem
> 3. How do we teach a class if the girls find the subject "boaring"?
The girls run their "own" program, they do the things that they are interested
in, which is the same for the boys. I don't like a boy would want to do the
"girls hobby award" ot "Hostess Award".
> 4. How do we teach a class if bob is eyeing Marry the whole time
> and vice versa?
This will not happen if they are in seperate classes.
> It might sound good up front, but when you get to the nitty gritty
> you're asking for problems.
Problems that can be avioded by simple measures of seperating the two
sexes, but having them together in the one program.
Having women in FCF will add a new dimension to it as well. Can you
imagine women in their flocks walking around Rendezvous and men being
courterous. In Australia, women add rich colour to any FCF village or event
and are always treated with respect.
All I can say is it is great to have Godly women instructing young women in
the ways of Lord through the Ranger Program.
