In our churches, we are supposed to be screening our leaders, checking out
their backgrounds, we are supposed to know that beyond a shadow of a doubt
whether or not this person has a history in the area that described or not.
No, we shouldn't arrogantly presume that just word of mouth is good enough
because it is not. We should be checking with state and local authorities on
the backgrounds of the leaders. It should not be a problem, concerns can be
overcome. We teach about being overcomes, so how come when it does come to
this, we tuck our tails and run the other direction? Are we afraid of what
we teach? This is how the outside is perceiving us, and it is causing us to
loose our viability.
Young men are going to take notice when young females dress in a way that
causes them to take notice. That is just a natural fact and it is the same
way for the girls too, the door swings both ways. My previous church, the
entire youth group, the girls wore outfits that were extremely provocative
toward the males and let me say if were my own girls, I wouldn't have let
them out of the house until their 30 th birthday if they were going to
continue to wear clothing to church that was not appropriate. They keywords
were hit on the head in an earlier message on the Rangernet, We are NOT
spiritually, emotionally prepared to allow this to be. There will still be
the continuation of arguments, the division, the spirit of malcontent lurking
about and affecting us in our ministries, until we overcome this, This is
when the problems will clear up and go away. We are bound by our own
restrictions, we shoot ourselves in the foot with it all the time. It's hard
to have a ministry when the outside sees us as being fickle everytime we want
to do something. God isn't coming back for just the boys or the girls but
for all. We have to stop loosing sight of the end result.
