Dear John:
Yes, I have shared the gospel with many of my relatives, most of them elderly. They either tell me that faith is a private thing or they think I am a raving Jesus freak following a fad.
I once tried witnessing to my brother who is older than me. He was using the Lords name in vane and I humbly asked him not to do that in my presence. I also started to speak to him about Christ dieing on the cross for his sins. by the time I got a chance to finish he was roaring at me.
My dad says that he thinks faith is a private thing as well.
I am the only Pentecostal in the family (more appropriately said born again Christian), the rest think that because they do good deeds and are members of the Lutheran church that is good enough.
I guess I will continue to be a Jesus freak, the fad has been going on with me since 1978. I wasn't a Pentecostal for several years but I truly loved the Lord. I guess now I have really gone over the edge. I have his power ever present in my life. I know the baptism of fire and there is no turning back. My relatives have to put up with this wild eyed babbling Jesus freak.
I guess with them, living my life in Christ is the best witness I can be.

Y'all,
Hey there this hit me and made me really think of.  Just
thought I would share.  See my friend from Malaysia either lost some family
members or friends and that she usually never share them the gospel.  So it
hit me have I ever shared a gospel with a relative.  When you see a relative
share the gospel with them, it could be their last chance.
