Why should a non Christian boy choose Royal Rangers over Boy
Scouts? That is a question that I need help answering. Any
thoughts?
Good question Matthew. Why would a Christian boy choose Rangers
over Boy Scouts? Just because it is Christian? Are we
presenting a dynamic outpost meeting where the boys can't wait for next
week? If our meetings were not on a church night (ours is on Wed.) how
many of the boys would still come?
I am somewhat discouraged since the Pioneer and Trailblazer commanders do
not open in prayer (as they arrive right at 7:00, our starting time, or a few
minutes later), nor do they do a devotional since they have not planned any
aspect of the meeting. The boys are getting a half-baked scouting
program. This is really shameful since about half of the boys do not
attend church, period. We are the only Jesus they may see and we have
Him hidden. I have talked to the commanders and yet it is the same old,
same old.
