Hi everyone,
My son and I are getting ready for our first pine wood derby. There is so much information, does anyone have any advice.
1. Have fun.
2. Read & follow your local rules.
3. Be creative.
4. Make fast cars that look good.
5. Be a good sport if someone beats you.
We had our Northern Colorado Section Pinewood Derby, today. We had some very creative entries for cars, including cars, pickups, ships, an SR-71 blackbird on a runway, Larry the Cucumber, a hot dog, banana splits, the U. S. S. Apple Pie (Veggie Tales spoof on Star Trek's U. S. S. Enterprise), a Skateboard, and more. Our sectional commander entered "The Block" (an unreshaped block of pine wood with wheels). We had fun.
