*I thought Bro. [EMAIL PROTECTED] was comming very close to hitting the nail on the head with talk of increased leadership/Investment of the boys in *their program.. The process to do that would turn Commanders into "trainers-advisors-coaches" and the boys into real leaders.. The form to use would be the "Patrol.." and the "power" would come from an alliance of Parents-Adult Leaders-Men's Ministry and *the boys them selves! *It's ready and waiting for our Courage to inovate and empower the boys to step up to responsibility and learn real skills with hands-on training by Godly men not afraid to hand the "hammer to Sr.Guide to drive home the nail" Leadership means *training others to become leaders themselves! None of us enjoy a negitive approch to involvement or increased responsibility through the pushing of our guilt button to get off our "blessed Assurence" and do something... *But all of us could enjoy the success of group effort and shared responsibility. Ranger Commanders have done too much for too long and the job needs to change. I need to get back to "story telling and coffee drinking" and stand in amazement at the wonderfull "perfect outpost" that runs it'self..<G> We do that by reaching out to the boys and all who desire to be used in measured and willing service. I expect that the reward will be greater than the effort and that what I task will succeed, how about you?
