In 3 weeks we will be having a District LTC Campout. We were able to
find some land that was going to be forested and about 8 men and 5
Rangers headed towards the woods and took out enough lashing material to
last a long long long time. The stack of trees is about 4' by 6' by 18
feet long. Short Leaf Pine.

This years LTC campout will have enough material to buiild about
everything in the Royal Ranger Manual and it will be right there ready
for them to use.

2 years ago we had the LTC campout up at Rick Barnhouses Church and he
had a nice pile of the short Leaf Pine Trees that he graciously allowed
the LTC ers' to cut up and it turned out to be one of the Best we had
seen in years. This year I too want to equip the men with all they need
to put the Ranger Fire deep into their hearts.

Get ahold of your conservation Departement and ask them for info. We
barely even touched this piece of property and have enough stuff to equip
5 Outposts with all their lashing needs.

This next weekend we will be having a BB Gun campout with 3 outposts
invited. We should have close to a 100 men and boys campin. We have 4
BB gun stations setup. Strike that match. (A bundle of matches tied to
a string dangling from a rope between 2 posts.) Spin that Can (Same setup
with pop cans cut up like a paddle wheel placed on a string between 2
posts.) Drop that water ballon (A water ballon on a string swinging )
and Soak that Commander ( a light switch with a wood target and wired to
a buired cable 40 feet away to a 12 volt car battery that then goes to a
homemade igniter (steel wool and telephone wire cardboard and matches)
that is place in a Metal Wiring gang box attached to the side of a pole
that has a pivot arm a string and a bucked of wire all attached.

The boys have to fetch a bucket of water, Thread a piece of cotton string
through the pivot arm through the metal gang box and tie a knot. Then
fetch a hand full of tinder build a one match type fire and place it in
the metal gang box over the igniter and then when this is all completed
the Patrol gets to take one shot per Ranger at the lightswitch target
that when hit will flip the switch sending a 12 volt charge to the steel
wool igniter that will fire up the matches in the cardboard holder that
will inturn burn the string in half that releases the pivot arm that
drops a bucket of water on their commander. The other side of the
story... the commander who is setting in the lawn chair under the bucket
of water is also shooting at a target and eggin his Rangers on that when
hit will soak his Rangers! I built 2 of the switches and one bucket
pivot stand tonight. After all the lashing material cutting and this
soak that commander project...I am ready for the Royal Ranger Mini LTC
Sunday School Class in the morning that I get to teach! Ya! I am
READY....snooozzzzzzz!

Just sharing some ideas with you all. Keep on keepin on for Jesus!
