One of the many hats that I wear at the church is that of bus driver/bus
captain.
Last night a 14 year old girl got on the bus that I had not seen for a
couple of weeks. Not a new girl - she has been riding the bus for over 5
years.
This is a very nice, friendly, cooperative child. She has always been happy
and joking with everyone.
Last night, her personality had changed completely. She was loud and
obnoxious. She refused to listen to instructions on the bus(and in her
class). On the return trip, I tried to talk to her about her new attitude
and she started singing to a friend of hers.
I then discovered(talking with her brother and another friend) that over the
past 2 weeks she had been in two hospitals with an eating disorder. It
sounds like the programs that were supposed to help her only helped destroy
her personality and self-esteem.
Please lift her up in prayer and pray that I will have the wisdom to deal
with her and her father effectively.
