I resemble that remark! The closest thing we grunts in the Army (ILNG) got that was a shower was mud and gun cleaning oil, until we went to Camp Ripley Minnesota instead of Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin. The Reserves had just formed a special unit whose job was to provide hot showers to the men in the field. Our battalion was one of the first unit of ginea pigs. We sure were happy pigs until morning when it started all over again, go on patrol, go to more training we already received twenty times before, eat MRE's and take a bath in sweat.
Why I enjoyed it is for one of the same reasons I enjoy camping and getting dirty with the boys in Royal Rangers. Another reason why I do it is the most important reason, that through adventure and fellowship boys may come to Jesus and grow in him.

dollar soap at the Hyatt Regency or Marriot Suites! All the time laughing at
the jarheads spitting under their arms, the swabbies splashing, and the
grunts not bathing at all!Michael
