> > > Interesting. I have heard some discussion lately that Jesus, as a boy, may not have >been fully aware of His mission. The point was also made that He was fully man, >completely human, that He didn't heal people, but that God healed people through Him The movie had Jesus cry out for God to restore his earthly father-Josheph from death.. Later Jesus as a 30 year old young man was shown to have "feelings" for Mary, his cousin... *We need to hold these "screenplay liberties" in ballance with our personal understandings of the events in the Gospel story.. Visual communication has a powerfull effect on our Generation.. Someone in Sunday School asked for prayer for everyone seeing this "Movie" as it will introduce Christ to many.. > - much like we say today when somone we pray for is healed - WE don't heal them, but >God heals them through us. The idea was that if He were still God with all the >attributes of God, but only in a human form, then living a perfect life was not a >real test. > > Thoughts??? > I was impressed by the sight of Jesus working with his hands.. useing a hammer and chisel.. following the death of his father.. *Jesus knew he had a "purpose" and he would have to "find it".. as all sons must, but I had never thought Jesus would struggle to let go of his "Trade" and earthly role as Josephs son a carpenter. *I see what you are saying, with the journey to the desert for Jesus.. the "Movie" showed a hungry and thirsty Jesus... I hadn't meditated on that as well, as my AoG upbringing allways showed him clean and close to food and water<G> *Earlier they had a sceen where he was feasting at a relitives house... The laughter was good..<G> The "Temtation of Satan" portion was uniquely strange and allmost "psycodelic" with the fade back to the view of earth from outerspace.... and a very hip and modern Satan.. Jesus "put him in his place" with the King James!<G> -=A=-
