Mike, to save time I looked up these things on Barnes and Noble's site.
Foxfire book one has cabin building, hog dressing, mountain crafts, etc.
They run from $12.96 to $16.96 each. They are now paperback.

In the 1960's a teacher, Eliot Wigginton, and his students started a magazine
they named, "Foxfire". They were compiling folk lore and cultural
information and it got to be so big, the books were born. There are at least
four, and then there is the book of Appalachian cookery. I think there are
more, I'm not positive. Doubleday and Company, Inc. are the publishers and
Eliot Wigginton is listed as the editor. I hope this helps. I love these
books, I wish we owned more than we do. Janet
