Good idea, Cookie.
So far, the Cyber Pow-Wow idea for 2000 is dead until someone at the
district level or above steps forward to officially sponsor it. We need
official sponsorship to issue patches with RR emblems incorporated that can
be worn on uniforms.
A RangerNet Training Conference, on the other hand, needs no such
sponsorship. All we need is a theme, a web site (we have one!), a call for
web pages, and many volunteers to add to the site. The idea is to come up
with training materials of lasting value that will be kept available on
line, and added to with the next event. We could also adopt one or more
missionary causes, as we did in the past.
What do you think? Should we do a RangerNet Training Conference this year,
and a Cyber Pow-Wow next year?
