I was made Senior Commander when the previous one stepped down.  I
had always said I'd do what people wanted me to do and it so happened
that the night he announced his decision to the outpost, I was home
recovering from surgery.  Since I wasn't there to defend myself, I
was voted in unanimously.  I figured it couldn't have happened if 
Jesus didn't want it, so I accepted graciously.  It has been a very
challenging and interesting experience.  I have grown and learned
a lot from it.
