Camp #1,
The first day(Sun) we hiked 6 or 7 miles to the first camp we were pressed because
water was sparse. We finally found a camp that had water but to get to the camp we had
to go down a "Little hill" the hill was about / angle and tough to go down it with a
33 lbs. pack<G> without falling down.
When we arrived at the camp we all were a little disappointed at the spot due to it's
small size, there were two camps there one bigger than the other the big one could
hold five tents and the other could hold two conformably but.. our group had about ten
tents so everyone was cramped and not much "Cooking Room" for pots and stoves (Camp
size).
The saying,"Pack it in, Pack it out" makes since if you have a Chevy 3500 pick-up and
a camper rigged to the back but with limited room and wet nasty garbage that you stuck
in your bag then hike up a vigorous hill then up, down, switch-backs forever makes for
an interesting hike.
The hike it self wasn't bad at all and the View was Beautiful (Trust me I got pics
that I'll scan and put on the web for you to see). It is very hard to say what I saw
but it was awesome to see GOD'S creation "in the raw."
More later...
