Yeap, you're right.

We had the same problem in Russia. There is no equivalent to word "Rangers"
in Russian. And with Russian culture now, Engish name would not be received
well. Some people afraid of anything American, sorry. So we had to translate
it into Russian name. And we had tzars, not a problem. But we worked hard to
find substitution for "Rangers". We tryed Royal foresters, etc... Royal
Hunters was received better.
I also know, they use in Latvia name "Korolevskije Metniki" (I might spell
it wrong). Which is I think the same, Royal Hunters. Latvia is one of former
Baltic Russia republic. See, they had kings, not tzars out there :-))
