In responce to this concern, I feel there is some facts that need to be
brought out. First: This should have been taken to the Sr Commander, If
there was some concern with this situation. Maybe all the questions
could have been answered. Before it was aired and a lot of wrong
information given to other readers. So here are the answers: !. The
Commander is a Jr.Commander, 17 yrs old. 2. No it was not on the
calendar, because it is not a RR campout. And I, the Sr Commander , was
asked weeks ago, if I had a problem with some of the boys going to his
house and sleep over in his pop up trailer. This was in his back yard.
3. There was no RR equipment being used. But if they had asked, I would
have been glad to let them! 4. The Permission slip explained to the
parents that this was not a RR outing and went in great detail about
who was responsible , for accidents , ect. This was provided by the Jr
Commander. (Which I am very proud that he took it upon himself to
provide). 5. And to top this off , the young man went to the Pastor
and got his permission before hand. I am very proud that this young
man is willing to help these younger boys work on advancements and
merits. All these boys are friends, some are even in FCF together. I
would rather they be doing this , than some possible mischief. I hope
this clears things up!
