The comming weekend the RR Outpost is
holding a fall fundraiser, by holding yard
clean-up and leaf re-cycle.

This started as a service project for our
senior citizen member's of the church, but
grew to a fundraiseing event from word of
mouth around town. Our success attracted the
attention of Boy Scouts as well as the High
School marching band, and we have worked togather
to cover our small city.

Each year we recieve about $2,000 after exspences
and hold a chili over bakedpotato lunch back at
the church for the boys and parents. Everyone
seems to enjoy the event.

Those that participate get a share of the monies
to apply to Ranger or Youth camp. This activity
along with the Christmas tree pick-up/re-cycle
allows us to operate free and clear of the church
and contribute back a tithe..

Working as we do with the Youth pastor has been
a real blessing to Rangers with strong positive
support from our church and community for our
efforts.

While working- I require the Ranger boys to wear
a RR logo T-shirt with jeans, gloves and eye
protection. The boys who supervise or talk with
the public are required to wear a full class "B"
uniform. One adult parent or leader is on hand
for safety and for driver duty, with first aid kit
at the ready.

I do not allow any Rangers younger than pioneer
age to participate. Pinewood derby is their
fundraiser.

In Christ-
Cdr.Roy Op88
