Sorry to be pedantic but you only need one thing to be a leader - followers.
Which of the traits you mention did David Koresh, Charles Manson or Adolf
Hitler have? If you have all the qualities you mention but have no followers
you might be a visionary, you might be a thoroughly good egg but you are not
a leader. There are many contributors to this list (here's one) who are only
painfully aware of the lack of the qualities you mention. However, we still
(hopefully) lead our boys.
