Sarge Sellers has basically 2 aspects..

Yes, one side is sort of like a NTC for boys and since I don't work that
side of the camp I don't really have any comments.......

The other side is for boys who want to earn merits. The Merit Camp is a
week long camp that allows the boys to go to classes of their choice.
Classes consist of many different subjects such as cooking, ropecraft, fire
making, hiking, bicycling, automotive, astronomy, computers, weather,
Amateur Radio, and many more subjects. The boys also have free time, game
time, and a Great Time.

I will be teaching Weather and Amateur Radio at this years camp. In the
past, we have had boys that actually passed their Amateur Radio exam at the
end of the camp.. and some that took it a few weeks later.

The thing that needs to be stressed to the boy and parents is that they have
the ability to learn merits and skills that otherwise may not be available
to them. The boys also get to meet new friends, make new bonds with
Rangers, and most of get closer to God. It is total experience for the boy,
and if a boy is wanting to advance in Rangers he should be at Sarge
Sellers!!!
