I was having some system problems with my system. It has been upgraded
many times but I just kept the old software and upgraded the windows. So
I thought huh! I went out and bought a Name Brand Sytem fixer uper and
let it run. It found: 872 problems in my win98 system. It fixed them
all and found 2 virus infestations. Fun-love Virus, and Kaki Worm 872
files infected!!!! Both transmistted by file attachements. Don't know
where they came from but I do know I sure passed them back out a lot of
times. Before I figured out it was a virus and cleaned it. My virus
checker was well outdated and the freebie's well they didn't find these
and fix them. So This Royal Ranger Commander is going to be READY!
Funny thing is after the system installed all of its checks and sensor
software that kept working in my task bar... well every day I had some
new little red light that was showing up and I got tired of messing with
it. So I uninstalled the software except the virus scanner and put it on
the shelf for future use!
I will say for any of you Ranger Nerds who have PcAnywhere and want to
sync up your laptop with your desktop... Watch out.... this Nerd lost 2
weeks of Data cause I thought I had it all figured out...grrrrh!
If it wasn't for a good backup I would be a month behind!
