Gentlemen and ladies (whom I am sure are lurking) tempers seem to rising and
the innuendoes are getting out of hand. Please understand I am not flaming
anyone. Two people I love greatly in this world are gay (both sexes and as
a result of severe sexual abuse). I do not condone their acts. They know
my views. They also know that I pray for them. God brings them to my mind
and I pray. There will come a day when Theresa and Michael will walk in the
door of our church and I will let up such a shout and I will tell the devil
what I have already told him...devil, go to hell.
I loved these people before they came out to me. How would I have presented
the love of Christ I claim to embrace if I turned my back on them because of
their lifestyle. God hates the sin not the sinner. What should I do?
If we are to turn our backs on the sinners then there are times (during
traffic) when I am just as great a sinner.
All sin is created equal to God. If you lie you will go to hell. If you
steal a piece of bubble gum you will go to hell. If you are sexually
immoral you will go to hell. See there is no favoritism there. You sin you
go to hell.
I do understand we are responsible for keeping our boys safe from sexual
immorality I am not minimizing this. I just wanted to put into perspective
that God loves the homos and the dykes or whatever ugly name you care to put
on them and if we are to be Christlike (who loved Mary the prostitute
[sexually immoral])then while we abhor the lifestyle we must embrace them
with the love of Christ whom we profess.
I know I am going to feel the flames but I have a asbestos suit (AKA the
blood) and I am ready. 4, 3, 2, 1 launch I can see the mushroom cloud now...
