We are planning on having scholarships for the day camps. We are doing this
as an alternative to babysitting and latchkey kids for four weeks. We are
also doing this as a fundraiser for our children's' ministries. We plan to
use the funds raised to fund our trailer for sidewalk Sunday school which I
have been lead to believe that Chris and I will be over (it has been a
desire of my heart to part of Sidewalk Sunday school since I met Pastor
Teddy Levron at NTC).

Clint you saw part of our facilities, they are fairly meager so have to do
some fundraising so we can accomplish all we believe that God has in store
for us.

I am booking some top level entertainment as a culmination for each camp.
One is a band by the name of Tin Roof Tango. The front man, Mark Shelton
has been the percussionist at Calvary Temple in Irving for I believe 15-20
years and his wife Beth has been in ministry for 8 years at Calvary. TRT
has been involved with educating children in music for as long as they have
been around. TRT has five members that between them play more than forty
instruments and music from at least 10 different countries in a 55 minute
program. They will also be offering a music workshop for the kids (for
which I am gathering unusual instruments i.e. a rainstick, a tarka, and
hopefully when we get it, the elusive Jew's harp (if I can pry it out of
Comdr. Chris' jaw) and that gives me two wind, and one percussion
instrument so far). This with a scholarship for ministry will cost us
$850.00.

As we grow and our finances improve we will be able to offer more freebies.
Besides, this idea was from God, maybe he plans to fund it for us and just
hasn't shown us how yet.

God Bless!

Is there any way you could make it for free? Take up an offering in church
or something? So that the people that really need it can get it? Maybe have
some kind of fund-raiser so that this could be a cost-free ministry to your
community?
