All of us are held accountable by first our elders and deacons, then by
Pastor for following up with the people we prayed through. The young lady I
prayed with is Misty, and I expect now that her name has been brought up
all, of you will pray for her (aha!). Misty and her mother (praise God)
both came down to receive Jesus Sunday morning. One family came down with
parents and several teenagers and all of them made decisions for Christ. We
all had cards that the people we prayed for filled out that we give the
church copies of and that we are to use to keep in touch with our charges.
If Misty misses a Sunday I am responsible to find out why and I have to let
the elders know so we can keep on top of things. We are starting a new
converts class as soon as we move to our new facilities (we don't have rooms
available for more classes at our current local). Also we are renting out
facilities at Christ For the Nations as we have no baptismal font and since
October 31st this puts us at about 150 souls saved and we need to have a
baptism . The last time we did this over thirty had the power of the Holy
Spirit fall upon them and spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave utterance.
We are not about to lose souls just gained for the kingdom.
As for the church being the kingdom, that is not necessarily so--for some
the church is simply the building and size of the congregation. I also mean
we are not building a denomination (pretty hard since we are
nondenominational), all we want is to lead people to Christ, teach them in
depth about and keep them on the right path towards Christ and finally keep
them for Christ. Sounds familiar huh?
Too much work too many tears, and too much prayer coverage went into this to
not follow up. That would be like when Pastor Teddy Levron has to go into
neighborhoods where someone has started a Sidewalk Sunday School kept it up
for a while and then just abandoned it. He has to work ten times as hard to
make any inroads in that neighborhood. In fact he has offered to help start
SSS for other churches but says he will only do it if we are going to follow
through as too many hearts are broken and hardened as a result and he is
left to clean it up. Not happening here. I refuse!
Anymore doubts or questions? I am happy to answer or put them to rest.

This is right! I once belonged to a church that did Fri. nite door to door
witnessing. They claimed 276 souls. What they really did in my estimation
was give birth to 276 babies and left them in the dumpster. They brought 1
family in to the church that whole time. The new testament says that daily
souls were added to the church. It says to build the church. The church is
the kingdom of God. There is no difference.
