I'm going to step out on a limb and give a praise report. Last month Pastor
Cody got a word that he was to declare Jan. 7, 2001 SALVATION SUNDAY. He
was a little reluctant as he didn't want our body to be "gimmicky", but the
Lord was insistent and so he submitted. Pastor Cody repeatedly gave out the
mandate that we were to invite all of our unsaved loved ones friends,
co-workers, etc. and he told us that he already had the word that God wanted
put forth.
Well, yesterday we were packed out one family brought twelve family members.
At the altar call we had the privilege of bringing 33 people to the saving
knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Then the Spirit checked
Pastor and told him that there was one who was wrestling with the decision
and Pastor said were holding this altar open for you who ever you are and
down he came. Glory to God down he came.
Last night the altars were again full. I have no idea how many there were
(too excited).
All I know is that yesterday there was rejoicing in the heavens and there
are greater things to come. We are here to build the kingdom, not the
church and I believe that is what we are doing.
