I know of a person (who later served as a missionary in Chad Africa) who was saved because someone gave him a tract. I don't know if it was a Chick Tract or not, but because of that incident, giving out tracts are the main way he witnisses. In some cases they are useful, but in other ways they are probably just discarded. Chick designs their tracts, though, so that they will be read. As with any other witnissing technique, more often than not, it is seed planting.
