*Great devotion!
One question..
*I think I have a problem with "Pastoral Authority" in some cases..
The Greatest Command is to Love God and Love others...and this
seems allways to be the hardest to obey<G> Though we are told
to "Go" we act as if we are *shareing .....the good news! We go..
because we LOVE THE LOST!
The fleshly human condition is full of rebuke, and cynicisum..
The LOST must come to a saveing knoledge, in their heart..
and then surrender all to Christ! For the "christian soldier"
we never lay ambush, trap or refuse a lost soul to travel
on to another day. We just *whitness OUR love to them, and
the Holy Spirit that is in THEM.. even in their lost state
is compelled to yeild to the truth and the light.
*(Here's a thin ice comment- True event)
I had trouble when the "Evangelist/Pastor" said after the preaching..
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"I want all the Youth under 18 to stand... STAND-UP!
I want *those that are standing to come forward... and gather
right here at the alter. ...that's right form a line, a single
line accross the front of the alter...
I want the elders of the church to come and begin to annoint with
oil.. and pray for the infilling of the Holy Ghost to come to each
youth!
*Now reach up with your hands and begin to pray.. *Repete with me
as *I pray... say- ect."
*Following this service..
I talked with my Dad about my feeling tricked or manipulated by *social
pressure to stand with the Youth, and yeild to whatever.. or make a
ethical snap
decision and remain seated with the over 18 congregation.
My Dad didn't want to talk about this..
30 years later.. he still don't want to hear it<G>
You see, I was in church that morning at 18 yrs old.. just a little
stressed
from US Navy training before being sent to VietNam and on the recovery
from
haveing my AG highschool girlfriend dump me for my Royal Ranger Marine
"buddy"..
I was content to remain in the pew, and go home following that for
sunday
dinner. *I do hope someone can relate<G>
While in *spirit I understood that nothing was conspireing against me,
in
my fleshly mind the wheels were turning, as I stood with the youth. I
remained
a 'good boy who desired to please my folks... and a reluctent warrior in
a forgotten war.

I read that *Love conquers all<G> because it is a compelling
emotion that gives drive to action! *If we act from Love we
are less likely to cross lines into territory that are outside
of god's law. *Loveing God allows the Holy Spirit to guide us,
even when we do not know which way to turn!

*I've never seen toungs of fire, but that would be pretty cool<G>
I have seen this breathing thing, as well as hands "laid on" and
even a box of kleenex thrown! *I've been in a service where a wave
of the Holy Ghost knocked out the first 5 rows... *and amazeingly,
I've seen someone get the annointing from a TV preacher<G>
*I'd like to see the toungs of fire thing.. why don't that happen today?
Throughout Acts we read of a

Amen.. Love one another!
