*Cdr.Jen and myself attendeda weekend BSA outing with 54 boys at a ski lodge on Mt.Hood in Oregon.. Since 1955 Nanich pt. Lodge has served boys! Access is by foot up-hill with it's own inner-tube hills for sleading! The lodge stores the tubes and has a compressor to fill the tubes and a workstation with patches to repair the tubes! The entrence is by tunnel into a snowbank and into a heated drying room for wet clothes<G> *Upstaris is the "great room" dineing hall and stone fireplace.. upstairs again is 65 bunks with matresses! Heated by wood stacked by troops around the Portland council, it has running HOT water, showers and *power to support a full commercial kitchen with three resturant style ovens! *and a commercial dish washer! A facility such as this, is a dream come true for boys! They may play in the snow, build snowcaves in the near-by forrest deep.. tube down hills, ski, snowshoe all day and into the night on a *lighted hill<G> *WHAT COULD BE BETTER? *Adding the Four RED points!
