A Ranger is brave in spite of danger..
*What a strange thing to tell boys<G>
Danger naturaly breeds fear, but the *peace of God
can grant us wisdom on demand if we are READY!
The first reaction to fear, is to *react from our
basic reptillian mind to *fight of *flight..
There is much training availible to build an assertive
and defensive reaction to challanges simular to what
you faced. From what I see such efforts are good at
defineing what your potential reaction should be.
Cdr.Duane is a wierdo deluxe<G>
I don't feel obliged to answer a ringing door or
phone. I don't look for trouble, or look to be an easy
touch<G> being street wise and savy is a usefull skill
in this world of perverts and panhandlers.
I told the Scouts who went to Key West to be advised..
Not every invitation to "party" is what you think.
Not every question asked by a pervert deserves an answer.
When someone asks for money, it might be good to think of
a responce before the event.
As a Navy vet.. I mutter: "SHOVE OFF!"
Stopping me on the street abruptly, might gain you
a gruff and defensive look, as I shift to avoid being
trapped in a doorway or corner. My son in amusement
notes "Dad's look'n for VC all the time"
I figger it's like defensive driveing or look'n out
for Buggs boys and blackfeet!
