Did not the Levites also burn incense as an offering to God?  I am reminded of the account where Paul is speaking to the Corinthians (1 Cor. 10) about the eating of meat offered to idols.  He says in essence that the eating of the meat is of no consequence to him because he thanks God for the meat, as he says "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof".  He goes on to say that if someone tells him the meat has been offered to idols, that it should not be eaten.  Not for his sake (Paul's, or any other Christian in the same situation), but for the sake of the person who may be offended by the Christian eating the meat.  So that "we may not cause a brother to stumble".

Burning incense is neither right nor wrong (in my opinion).  What matters is the condition of one's heart.

All,

The other day at work I got some incense sticks.Myself, I only got them for the scent. I know however that the Catholics burn incense. Plus the sticks are also used in witchcraft.
I enjoy the scent. However, I'm wondering if I'm going against the Lord by buring them. I mean knowing there use in witchcraft, ect.

Thanks,
