Did the patrol system work for them from day one?

You may find fault as you like, but the "moral tone"
he set was a Christian
ethic.

Easy now Duane - I haven't found any fault - I asked a simple question.
SNIP

*And yes.. the "Patrol system" was there from day one.

SNIP

That's not what I asked.  I asked if it worked from day 1 in the scouts.  Big
difference.

I "read" you..

Actually you didn't.

Y
ou think it's hard..

Not at all.
Y
ou think you cannot do it.

I am doing it.

Y
ou think it isn't worth the effort.

Wrong again - and it really isn't much of an effort.

Y
ou think the boys don't care about it.

Nope - my boys love it!

Y
ou've never seen it and if it was so important..

I grew up in it.  In my outpost as a boy I was Senior Guide and we ran the
patrol system in a big way!  That's why my Pioneers now also use the patrol
system.

Why isn't the Patrol System  preached by "mr.Big Shot" as something worth
doing!

Because  - well never mind - I have my opinion about "them" but I'll keep it
to myself (surprised, huh?)

Knock off that thinking and *Beleve it can be done!

What thinking?  The thinking that BSA and it's predecessor may have had some
"lag time" actually getting the patrol system to work?  Sorry - nobody's
perfect - I'm betting there was a "difficult" time getting boys to take
leadership and getting men to back off.

You don't have to wait around for "training" or "permission"..

Who me?  Ha Ha Ha
