It's the same way here in DC too! They all are named either Mr. Khan or Mr. Singh. It's the Sikhs that drive the taxi's and the Muslims that run the hot dog stands on the corner. One of them I kid you not, was selling Hebrew National Hot Dogs! I couldn't believe it! I thought the Hebrews were their nemesis. He was Egyptian and he told me I had to pay him in "Flues" (I'm not sure how that's spelled) or their version of money. (It wasn't hard to do, the foreign exchange was down the block in DC)
