Jake came to the scout troop meeting last night.. It wasn't
easy, but it's the thing he needed to do. Jake met with his
nature merit councilor, and got some requirements
signed off.
His handbook is worn and wet from the manny outings he's attended
and he is one scout who knows about the Outdoors.. Jake and his
4 brothers get that from their dad. His dad is quite the outdoor
guy and has allwyas included the boys in fishing/camp trips and
the yearly deer camp.
The meeting was about the norm for all t328 summertime gatherings
except this one started with reverent *prayer..
All the boys and leaders bowed their heads and joined as scoutmaster
Rice spoke of the need to remember Jake and his family and extend
the hand of fellowship to them in a difficult time. He asked Jesus
to guide and comfort Jake and his family. *We pledged to do that,
because we also are a family of extended brothers bound by Honor.
We do that because jakes dad is a Clark County Sherrif who was killed
this weekend in the line of duty.
"I just need to get out of the house.. and well I want to make..."
