Yup it's old.  That was what they were wearing way back when they started Rangers. I'd commit that to your museum exhibit personally. They also used to wear the "beanie" hat or also known as a garrison hat much like the ones the army used to wear before they went to the beret. That hat went with the khaki blazer and it was khaki too. This got a mention in one of the older books way way back when they had just started the AST program.  The Blue Blazer makes you look more like a security guard in a soft uniform. My security uniform was pretty much the same thing.  But the khaki blazer if I remember, that's what they were wearing in the late 60's early 70's.  I have seen actual pictures of people wearing these, but there were not that many.

Subject: [RR] KHAKI Blazer

The section bought out a local outpost's Ranger & Missionette materials.  Amongst the stash is a Khaki Blazer, complete with leather buttons & epaulettes.  It has a So Cal District Strip & the old Green "99" Staff patch, but no District Staff Patch.  On the left sleeve it has a single blue stripe, possibly the fore runner of the blue service stars.

Also I found a pair of nice Khaki slacks with some fancy stitching at the corners of the pockets.  Since they are labeled Dry Clean only, I figure they go with the blazer.

I've been around RR for a long time, but this is the first I have seen of a Khaki Blazer, other than possible drawings.  I figure it is the predecessor of the Blue Blazer, can anyone shed some light on the history of this?
