T328 last night selected from a vote of the boys a new leader.
The troop population is aprox. 60 scouts in 6 active patrols.
First came the election of SPL "Senior Patrol Leader" with two
scouts presenting brief plans to the boys of the troop and meeting
with the Scoutmaster and Committe chairman.
Tristian Holtz "Eagle Scout" explained how scouting had a important
role in his life and attitudes. He then told the scouts that he
would also be voteing for the best choice in Leadership.
"I'm voteing myself for Derik Brown SPL"
The boys held a vote by ballot.. slips of paper put into a
Scout hat..

Next came Patrol meetings and each held a vote to replace Patrol leader
for the year. Scoutmaster had the new SPL collect the decisions on a
list.. and after a brief review and re-vote by one patrol..
SPL announced the new Patrol leaders!
Next weekend is a Troop Junior Leader campout at the beach.
Job expectations and duties will be discussed as well as events planned.
