It's peak backpacking season. We have a couple more backpacks scheduled in November. If you are wanting in on a good backpack and want to bring a few Rangers we would welcome your company. The backpacks are short trips Friday night leave 5:30pm get back to Springfield Saturday at about 5 pm. We generally pack in a couple miles and then day hike throughout the day. Nothing quite like it. Stop by walmart and get a orange vest as hunting season is happening as well. We hike where there are no vehicles allowed so ... most hunters go to places they can drive to. You will hear gun shots miles away. In all the years we have been down in this area we have seen one hunter and he was on horse back.
